VERB
1. to care for and protect in an overindulgent way.
Back in 2007, Cosset started as a hobby. CEO David Danzig began crafting home made bath products out of curiosity, but also as a way to decompress and relieve stress. In 2013, David and his wife Ashleigh welcomed their first son, George, into the world. George had developed a chronic eczema skin condition and it seemed like there was no lotion, butter, or medication that would help. David decided to try creating his own solution by combining the natural butters and oils he had on hand in hopes that something would work. Within a week, George's eczema had healed significantly and after a month there was almost no sign of it at all. "The George" Body Butter was born.
Based on the success of "The George", David started selling his products at local farmers markets and had such a great reception that he knew something had to be done about it. David grew up in the Avenues of Salt Lake City and often spent his days at Trolley Square. When it came time to give Cosset its first home, there was no doubt in his mind that Trolley Square would be the perfect location to begin the journey. After a couple more years of farmers markets and a few more retail locations, several grocery chains started to notice. The Danzigs decided to partner up with Utah-based Associated Foods Stores by putting hand built bath bomb displays into the grocery stores around town. Though there were many hiccups along the way, there was even more success and that move proved to be critical in the rapid growth of the company. After several more grocery chain partnerships, and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, Cosset made the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list.
As of today, you can find Cosset displays in over 400 locations around the US as well as online, bringing therapy to the masses by means of their bathtubs. Pick some up today, indulge, and go Bathe With a Purpose!
